This Peruvian coffee is grown in the Cajamarca region. Aprocassi grows their coffee organically and has 600 members that help and work on the farm. Aprocassi is a proactive farm that is environmentally conscious by trying to become carbon neutral from farm to port. They also do a lot of work to empower women coffee growers, such as implementing beekeeping programs to diversify their farms and increase yields. This coffee is grown at an altitude of 1000-2500 meters above sea level. It is a mixture of Caturra, Bourbon, Catimor, Typica and Pache. It is shade grown, washed and sun dried. The flavors in this coffee are red grapes, grapefruit, chocolate, brown sugar and apple. This is a smooth, silky cup of coffee, very well balanced, my new favorite.
